25% of US teens report missing class due to lack of period protection and 27% of Stanwood-Camano School District students qualify for free or reduced lunch, so we know the need is great. Working with the school nurse, curriculum developer, teachers, peer mentor director & parents, we plan to provide our products to seventy 4th and 5th grade potential menstruators in a Stanwood Elementary School.
Your $30 donation provides each participant with 2 shields and 8 liners, plus information in English and Spanish on their care and use. Our products last 5+ years, offering long-term financial relief from the ongoing purchase of disposables, while providing a safer, eco-friendly alternative. All sewing is done locally by over 30 volunteers.
