Weekend Food for Students

Mission

Founded in 1984, Stanwood Camano Food Bank Services is a 501c3 organization that provides critical food, clothing and household resource assistance for underserved families and individuals of Camano Island and northwestern Snohomish County.

Description of Services

SCFBS’s services include:

  • Meals ‘til Monday weekend food program for students, with Summer Meals for families over Summer break;
  • Stanwood and Camano Island food bank locations with 4 public and 1 senior service days per week;
  • 4 self-service Little Free Pantries;
  • Holiday House program distributing holiday gifts and a Warm Coats for Kids program distributing brand new coats to Stanwood-Camano area children each Fall season;
  • Critical resource vouchers to community members through our Thrift Store.

SCFBS collects and distributes over 1 million pounds of food resources to ~65,000 individuals annually, with sources ranging from grocery recovery, federal commodity allocations, food drives, private donations, agricultural gleaning, and more.
