Project
Feeding Hungry Veterans & First Responders
Mission
To provide support and resources to our Veterans and First Responders, through equine-inspired experiences , bringing community awareness, and developing programs for family and community support of our heroes.
Description of Services
There are 3 session options currently available with a desire to expand to 6 with funding and resources.
Sessions 1 through 3 are all from the ground (no mounted work) interacting with horses to develop tools to aid participants in improved emotional awareness and expanded resiliency to stress. Sessions 4 through 6 in the future will move into mounted work (riding) where we will expand on previously learned tools such as connection, communication, energy regulation, awareness, trust, and so on.
Session design is based on HeartMath Institute Trauma-Sensitivity Training and Polyvagal Theory. Sessions are a max of 5 participants to support the learning environment and run from 10am to 3pm at our facility in Stanwood, WA.
