Project
Free Washable Period Products for Local Students
Mission
To eliminate the stigma and limitations associated with periods so that menstruators have improved health, education and livelihoods.
Description of Services
In the last 2 years, we have served 2300 local menstruators with washable cotton shields and liners, either through direct, one-on-one distributions, e.g., at a food bank, or indirectly through our trained distribution partners, e.g., in schools. We also offer menstrual information, and product care and use instructions in English, Spanish and nonverbal graphics.
A new WA state law requires all schools to provide free menstrual supplies in bathrooms, without funding. Our local chapter can help schools meet this mandate.
